Eliminating pressure or friction on the heel can help enhance blood circulation which is vital to healing. The dynamic flex action applies continuous counterforce pressure to the sole of the foot.
The AFO allows for optimal dorsi- and plantar-flexion ankle positioning to provide adequate clearance during swing phase and knee stability in stance phase. The custom-contoured aluminum heel connector bar helps to control dorsi-plantar flexion by allowing infinite, measurable adjustments. Fits into a standard shoe, the plastic splint can be trimmed or molded with heat.
