Advanced Blood Pressure Monitor

The Omron 5 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor uses Advanced Accuracy Technology to measure five times more data points for more accurate readings. The Advanced Averaging feature displays the average of the three most recent blood pressure readings taken within 10 minutes. The monitor also allows users to compare their reading to normal blood pressure levels using the BP Level Indicator.

Innovative Alerts

Omron technology allows patients to minimize the impact their breathing and movement have on blood pressure results for more precise readings. It also features an Irregular Heartbeat Indicator that alerts users to the number of irregular heartbeats (up to 3) while blood pressure is being measured. If irregularities are detected outside of normal parameters, an indicator icon will alert users. The hypertension indicator uses a ‘high’ symbol to indicate if the user’s systolic (upper) measurement reaches 130mmHG or above and if the diastolic (lower) measurement reaches 80mmHg or above.

Comfortable Cuff Positioning

Whether the patient has standard or large-sized arms, the D-ring cuff comfortably fits adult upper arms 9” to 17” in circumference. The bottom edge of the arm cuff should be 1/2 inch (1 to 2 cm) above the elbow when applied and the air tube should be on the inside of the arm and aligned with the middle finger. The unit operates on 4 AA-batteries or an AC adaptor to eliminate having to change the batteries.
Note: Blood pressure values can differ between the right and left arm. Be sure to always use the same arm for consistent measurements.
