MReye Breast Lesion Localization Needles and Coils
MReye Breast Localization Needles and Coils are intended for preoperative marking of non-palpable breast lesions, where the localization coil serves as a marker for the surgeon. The MR conditional MReye Breast Localization Coil acts as a marker to indicate the location of the lesion for the surgeon. It is created from a non-ferromagnetic material: a nickel-based super alloy called Inconel, which has been shown to cause smaller, or fewer, image artifacts in MR imaging than stainless steel. The coil is MR Conditional up to 3T. The two-part positioning needle through which the coil is delivered contains EchoTip technology.
MReye Interventional needles are used for initial puncture and positioning control as well as biopsies and other interventional procedures in combination with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). MReye products are created from a non-ferromagnetic material that helps reduce artifacts by up to 1,900%. MReye needles are recommended for use with MRI scanners not exceeding 3 tesla. Used for preoperative marking of non-palpable breast lesions. EchoTip needle ensures increased visibility during ultrasound. Coil acts as a marker to indicate lesion location. Consists of a 2 part positioning needle with a trocar tip and a pusher and a coil pre-loaded on a stylet with a cannula stopper. The needle tip is etched for improved visibility during ultrasound imaging and the needle cannula is marked in 1cm increments, with double markings at 5 cm increments for monitoring of needle depth during the procedure.
