The Wheaton Bracing System is an innovative and cost-effective device for the treatment of intoeing disorders in infants and young children
Consists of the Wheaton Brace AFO connected to a thermoplastic upper component (Knee extension, KO) with touch fasteners
The upper component is designed to keep the knee flexed at 90 flexion
When used with the lower component (AFO), it allows for torque correction of tibial torsion, applying a driect corrective rotational force on the tibia without any torque on the femur or hip
By overlapping the two components and using touch-fasteners, infinite positions of adjustments can be made to determine the amount of torque disired and the growth of the leg during correction
