The DABERON-2 provides a standardized assessment of school readiness in children ages 4 through 6, including those with learning or behavior problems who are functioning at the early elementary level. The test samples knowledge of body parts, color and number concepts, gross motor development, categorization, and other developmental abilities that relate to early academic success. It is individually administered in 20 to 40 minutes and is easy to score.
The Learning Readiness Equivalency Age score may be used to identify children at risk for school failure. The test can help identify instructional objectives and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). It includes the Classroom Summary Form and the Report on Readiness, a summary of performance and practical suggestions for parents. It was standardized on a national sample of more than 1,000 children.
Complete DABERON-2 Kit includes: Administration Manual, 25 Screen Forms, 25 Reports on Readiness, 5 Classroom Summary Forms, 24 Presentation Cards, and an Object Kit of Manipulatives, all in a sturdy storage box. (1991)
